Step 4: Check Calibration Slope
In this step you will check how well the device calibrated.
If connected to the internet use the app to check the Calibration Slope. This button can be found on the Calibration Page. Pressing the button will request and display the devices calibration slope data. An uncalibrated slope will come back as follows (100%, 100%, 0mV) for (acid, base, neutral).
After performing the Mid Point (pH 7.00) calibration of a new pH probe the slope should come back as follows (100%, 100%, between -5mV and 5mV). The closer to 0mV the better the calibration. Over time this numbers distance from 0 will start to increase. A value greater than 10mV will produce noticeable performance issues.
Ex. The slope after pH 7 calibration: 100, 100, 2.3
After performing the Low Point (pH 4.00) and High Point (10.00) calibrations of a new pH probe should produce values greater than 95%.
Ex. The slope after pH 4 calibration: 98.6, 100, 2.3
Ex. The slope after pH 10 calibration 98.6, 97.2, 2.3
If any of these values fall out of range for a new probe simply go back and repeat that calibration step.
